CoCreate is excited to partner with The Media Workshop Studio for a hands-on, three-part media production series designed to give you real, career-ready creative skills.
Led by Emmy® award-winning director and UConn professor Dr. Oscar Guerra, this series takes you from story concept all the way through to a finished, edited video. No prior experience needed.
Whether you’re a beginner or an intermediate creator, this is your chance to learn by doing in one of Stamford’s most inspiring creative spaces.
Workshop 1.
Pre-Production: Story, Strategy & AI Workflows
Dates: April 21, 23, 28, 30 – 2026
Learn how to shape ideas with intention by defining audience, message, and story structure before production begins. Using accessible AI tools as creative support, participants develop repeatable workflows and prompts that help them brainstorm, refine, and organize ideas for any type of content: social media, branded campaigns, promotional, or educational media.
2 Week Course – Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm to 8:30pm
Why it matters:
Clear stories save time. When you know what you’re making and why, production and editing become faster, more focused, and more creative.
Learning Outcomes:
- Develop a repeatable storytelling workflow applicable to multiple content formats
- Create reusable, AI-supported prompts for ideation, refinement, and story structure
- Produce a clear story blueprint that can guide future creative projects
Equipment: Laptop required. AI tools will be introduced using accessible/free platforms.

- Workshop 3: Post-Production: Video Editing with Adobe Premiere (Basic)
Notes:
- For Adults (18+)
- No prior experience required. Beginners and intermediate creators are encouraged to enroll.
- Participants should bring a laptop to each session.
